“Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.”
Henry Miller, 1950.

Quadron - Hey Love (by QuadronVEVO)
Coco O. has such a beautifully dreamy vocal tone and i’ve kind of been in love with her artistry since the get. If you live in or near LA, she’s performing this Saturday at The Getty to kick off “Saturdays Off the 405” concert series. I would go but I have work, which is a shame because this video made me grin from ear to ear and it would be a real treat to see her perform live. I got such a kick (pun intended) from all the different dance styles she performs in this video. Funny thing - this past Tuesday I went to a karaoke lounge and got sidetracked into a humorous but somewhat fun orientation to learn the Argentine Tango from an older white male instructor whose intensity and dramatic flare perfectly matches that white older male dancing the flamenco with her in the video. Maybe not my style but was fun to learn anyways. Speaking of which, I have an insatiable urge to get my boogie on. There are no good spots around these parts with a decent DJ. It’s a damn shame.
Anyways, I’m adopting this as my summer anthem, I’m convinced that Coco O. is officially singing this song on my behalf. Her awesome spur of the moment dance moves at 2:29. Come on now, that’s me on the daily. So yea… Hey Love.

GIVEAWAY! Re-post this pic or give it a caption for a chance to win a genuine signed first edition copy of GAINING GROUND by Forrest Pritchard, a honest to goodness gentleman farmer. It’s a great book about fathers, sons, and saving the family farm. And my favorite book of the summer. Well, second favorite.
I got the outline done yesterday, so excited to get it colored.
